Cool avdave! being that you brought this up being a concerned shareholder and all maybe PHGI would be interested in hearing your expertise in these matters? I feel sure that even the other shareholders would like to hear your recomendations to the company, I mean thats why you posted correct...? to offer helpful suggestions?

Dave- Granted, surface mining is defined as a method of extracting minerals near the surface of the Earth.

The three most common types of surface mining are open-pit mining, strip mining, and quarrying.

SO while maybe misleading terminology to the uninitiated, Surface Mining is not a singular form of mining, but a group, or "family" of mining methods which can include any or all of the aforementioned methods.
