Invitation for Mexico fun open to all! I'm going back to San Jose Del Cabo December 8 -15 (7 nights 8-14th) and will be staying at the Royal Solaris Resort there. It would be great if a lot of you folks could join me to finally be able to put a face with the name! LOL!
I've checked prices through Expedia.com (1-800-551-2409) for 3 resorts within walking distance from mine and have prices them and mine also as follows:
Crowne Plaza $227 per couple/per night (all-inclusive)
El Presidente $221 per couple/per night (all-inclusive)
Cabo Azul $398 per couple/per night not all inclusive
Royal Solaris $221 per couple/per night (all inclusive)
One more resort about 1 mile away is:
Barcelo Premium $171 per couple/per night not all-inclusive.
The Expedia rep explained that the "all-inclusive" covered all meals and beverages, including alcoholic beverages. And there might be other benefits in addition also.
As a member of the Royal Solaris resort I am able to "refer" friends at a special price of $140 per couple/per night, however, that price requires attending a 1-2 hour sales presentation at some point during your stay. They also will throw in some extra things like a snorkel trip, horseback riding trip, etc. too if you're there 7 nights. However, you can stay for as little as 4 nights for this price though may miss out on some "extras". If anyone has an interest you can call Sandra at 1-866-289-8466 8-4PM Mon-Fri and 8-1PM Sat. or her email is sandra@clubsolaris.com if you have any questions. To get this $140 price you must tell her you were referred by hotlinktuna (Darryl) and give my membership number C-40564. I know there are some qualifications as to income though not too difficult and both spouses must come if married. Also, if anyone has 1 or 2 children aged 1-16...they are "free" with 2 adults!! Extra kids cost $30 each per night. I don't work for the company but do get extra free days if folks come there.
There may be some other resorts within around a mile or futher away but I don't have any other names. This will be my 3rd trip to this resort and I've always loved the food and entertainment and the beautiful beach too! And the people, both guests and employees are wonderful! I selected these dates because the price goes up quite a bit beginning on Dec. 15th as I'm sure the other resorts do also. Folks can come down at other times other than this particular week too if this time isn't good for you as I know this is short notice as I tend to be a bit spontaneous. Prices can vary though depending on the time of year one comes down.
My wife won't be coming down with me this trip as it's a present to me for not losing our life savings this year after a rough start...LOL! And she can't get off work so close to Christmas as we're getting time off then to visit her family in California. It would be a blast to get to meet you folks and I'm sure many of you would like to meet others on the boards too so if you have some interest you can write me back or contact Sandra! Hope to meet a bunch of folks even if lurkers that prefer not writing!!! tuna
