Jaybirds illiteracy or deception on DYII

A word to the wise to anyone who believes his pumping. He is either ignorant or lying to you regarding DYII.

Nothing in their latest Q suggests there is a permanent change in their overall collection rate.

Here is jaybird's claim

"some people still don't understand the $.16 was NO fluke, it was due to a PERMANENT change in billing method- this is explained in a Yahoo post. The change in method applied to only HALF the quarter- so DYII should earn about $.30 EPS this quarter. Man I thought people did DD on this board."

Here is what his amazing due diligence which consists of a yahoo regurgitation of a Q says. Note the bold areas which explain the narrow area this ruling applies to.

The Company, in conjunction with most of the Texas hospital medical providers, continues its efforts to resolve the pending claims regarding payment for the treatment of injured workers under the Texas workers’ compensation laws. The Company exhausts all of its available avenues in collecting its accounts receivable (particularly in the workers’ compensation arena). This includes the appeal to the State Office of Administrative Hearings (“SOAH”) or the District Court for workers’ compensation cases where the insurance carrier failed to reimburse the Company in accordance with the rules of reimbursement mandated by Texas state law.

Historically, the Company had collected approximately 55% to 60% of its charges in “stop-loss” cases; however, around early 2000, certain carriers, including the largest, Texas Mutual Insurance Company, stopped paying the “stop-loss” rate and instead paid a much lower “per diem” amount, if they paid anything at all

In 2005, the Texas Legislature passed House Bill 7, making substantial changes to the Texas Workers Compensation System. Among other things, the Bill altered the manner in which cases would proceed under the MDR process

As I stated before there is nothing and I repeat nothing in the DYII report that suggests they will collect 70% on all of their billings. They will get better rates on workmens comp claims over 40k and thats it apparently.

Jaybirds illiteracy is no shock really. This is the same guy who as far as I know to this day has not figured out the rules for posting on VMC. I anxiously await his next all cap non-earner and his subsequent anger at Len for striking his post
