I have a retired friend in Boise who is into net marketing. He just took off for a week-long seminar in Scottsdale, on a new kind of TELEMARKETING that is setup so folks at home can participate, just like another home-based business. It relies on VoIP and the ability to conference over the net.
He had mentioned to me how his 84-year old Dad is turning over to him the management of a $2.5M stock investment fund. Naturally, I told him about COPI and he responded that his Dad was specifically NOT interested in penny stocks. That is when he told me about this telemarketing seminar he is at now.
My friend and I, both being retired software engineers and consultants, we have substantial experience in telecommunications projects over the last 30+ years. When I told him about the DNC list authorization and Teleblock running as an Internet application, he understood instantly what COPI was doing. That is exactly why this seminar became more meaningful for him and for me. I am waiting to hear the results of what he has learned.
I know that this forum has discussed the telemarketing outsourcing into India, Philipines, Europe, etc. But this home-based telemarketing over the Internet using VoIP could be, yet another, emerging market coming straight out of left field. Who would have thunk it?
