Ultra-Slim MP3 Player Developed
A local venture firm yesterday unveiled an ulta-thin MP3 player, which can be used for audio as well as storing Internet contents.
Luck Technology Inc. said that it has developed the world's smallest MP3 device, which also boasts high-quality sound compatible with that of CD players.
The size of the new music player, called "mAudio," is equivalent to one- fourth of the thickness of a pack of cigarettes.
"Despite its tiny size, mAudio can store as many as 60 songs, three times more than existing MP3 players, with a 64-megabyte memory capacity," said Lee Kyu-ho, president of the company.
Lee, who is concurrently a professor at Yonsei University's department of medicine, set up the venture firm in March to commercialize cancer and brain disease treatment equipment that he developed himself. (10 October 2001, Korea Times)
