Thanksgiving

Grandma passes down traditional skills,
Mama joins in with the joys of baking.
Cooking a feast with minimal spills,
for most this is quite an undertaking.

Grandpa spending time with his legacy.
Papa is honing knifes for the carving.
watching the kids and their lunacy,
by mid-afternoon all are starving.

While children trim the Christmas tree,
a sight that's always a joy to see.
It wouldn't be right if a bulb didn't drop,
or figuring out how to put the star on top.

A time of harmony in family living,
these are blessings of Thanksgiving.
