Yes, I'm not sure which is worse. Fires are so... unpredictable, especially with the crazy winds. Yesterday, our little valley was clear blue skies all day with hardly any wind, even while fierce winds were creating horrible fire/evacuated areas not too far over the ridges to the north and south and the thick smoke plumes also billowing over the ridges.
Today, different story, winds are dying elsewhere and instead blowing through here along with all of the smoke.
Keeping our fingers crossed.
At least I don't have to monitor the market since I'm long here - what a day.
