mingwan0,
You might notice there is considerable divergence from Craig Ventner's bullcra - er, very fine analysis that there is no genetic basis to race with some groupings that fly in the face of accepted racial prejudice.
This is a key section:
>>The current ANCESTRYbyDNATM 2.0 can predict mixture of continental origin, but cannot predict mixtures of intra-continental ancestral composition. For example, ANCESTRYbyDNATM 2.0 might indicate that someone is of 100% Indo European descent, while ANCESTRYbyDNATM3.0 might indicate that someone is 60% Northern European and 40% Middle Eastern.<<
It is the outliers that do best at predicting the success or failure of future development and I would suggest that there are already lots of those.
While language (e.g., hispanic) and even religion (Jewish) lump quite dissimilar people together in some imaginary race the prototypical racial scheme is far from perfect either. Geography ain't too perfect either. Where do we Saami fit into that "Northern European" profile? :-)
I am BTW Irish. It is a known fact that only African-American lineage is more potent in canceling out all other racial content of issue. That is until African ancestry becomes Cherokee and the result is white or [horrors!] Irish. :-)
Best, Terry
