Maybe the enthusiasm you see on the show in the US, the -root for the contestant, lucky bastard who wins- drive that powered the ratings over here just isn't there since winnings are going to charity. The audience may not be as enthralled and caught up and glued to the TV, since the the suspense and winning outcome of the guy they R watching is not there. The realness and entertainment of watching someone sweating bullets and either freaking out or wanting to die that he missed the $500k question, may be lacking on the china show since that million dollar possibility doesn't exist. just wondering
