I havent worked in that industry for a few years but if I remember correctly having (iso cert) allows company to produce all kinds of parts and replacement parts for large manufacturers.
It's an industry standard to qualify for those (HUGE) contracts!!! this is only my opinion and I'm not even sure on facts but worth looking in to
