#11236 RE: enemem #11223

enemem - the cash Cortex raised a couple months ago has proven to be vital.

That $15M is a life saver now.

I'd be 10x more depressed than I am now if Cortex was just now looking at raising $15M.

Forget what I said earlier about it looking like mgmt had done some contingency planning, that's not an important point anymore regardless of the answer.

I wish you had posted your "Cortex is dead meat" discussion - quite a few people are close to throwing in the towel on COR and I'd like to see the key reasons Cortex could be toast.

Seriously, if I agree with enough of them, I'll cut my losses and move on. Either way, such a list would show the challenges Cortex has to successfully address in the solutions the company comes up with.

I 100% agree that the focus needs to be on what Cortex can do to recover - most of my posts tonight have been trying to get people to think like Cortex mgmt and come up with the solutions that we are likely to hear presented to us in the next CC.

I don't think we've been delusional about Ampakines, but I do think we were delusional about ADHD being a realistic target - it almost sucks now that Cortex got good results in ADHD. :^)

But on the flip side, the good ADHD results are the key thing Cortex now has to use as proof that Ampakines can and do work.
