Haas does not own Woodson County. There are several other landowners who lease land to Hemi in Woodson County, and several of them have family members who work with/for Hemi probably including some from the Haas family.
Haas is certainly a prominent name in the area as they have been there for quite some time, and Keith has a close relationship with the elder Haas, and this relationship/friendship has been beneficial to Hemi.
If I'm remembering things correctly. The information has been posted before, and I'm sure a little digging can find more specifics. I don't think we had anything "official" on this... I think it was just supposed emails to board participants.
