The problem here is that these people opened up OTCBB so they were above the pinks. At any level you can get into pump and dumps.. Just look at Enron. Take a good look at the company and find out the experiance behind the scenes. There are some companies out there with good officers in the mining business however when you see a funeral director or a health specialist at the head of a mining corp you might want to move slow.
