#676 RE: Guardian #673

I still think this is a planned process Guardian, glad you did get filled and I managed to pick up a bit as well. Citigroup has shown up again as a lead seller and they attacked the price a few months ago. There is still money to be made in a negative market and there is no doubt that Wu's takeover was less than friendly. Doesn't it seem surprising that this downward pressure is occurring at a time when shareholder packages are being mailed and the AGM is fast approaching. In this business it is always wise to consider the conspiracy theory. The market must honor your bids if they are by the book eg 5000 shares with no restrictive covenants other than a limit price. If you are trying to take a price down you will want to remove bids even if it means moving shares outside of the control group.
Doesn't mean that is absolutely the reason but based on my experience (and please remember I'm no longer in the business)
to ignore the possibility of manipulation for purpose probably isn't a good idea. It happens and I think it is happenning here. What we have to guess at are the reasons and in that sense I agree with you.
It drives us crazy to see these prices. If they go up we will be happy regardless of the reasons. If they don't we will accept the fact this was a gamble but we might also need to consider the reasons so we can believe it was natural market condition or artificially created. Companies do get run out of business so they can be had for pennies on the dollar.
