The Barco launch is actually worse than paper. The B1 stepping that AMD was waving about will never see arrive in any real volume. The Tier 1 players are waiting for a B2 or later stepping before they actually launch systems.
I haven't wanted to be the first to comment on this but I have very good reason to believe what you say is true. Implied is that the B2 will fix all the problems that are broken on B1 so that the Tier 1 players can ship product. I don't think that's a given by any stretch. This is, for all intents and purposes a classic paper launch. But who expected anything else?
