On a thin stock the price can be pushed around to take out a stop loss. That includes nasdaq stocks, just ask my buddy who set a stop loss on ACTG and it dropped $0.25 executed his stop then popped right back up. If you use stops on pinksheet stocks, you'll get clobbered. The only stop loss that works with these stocks is to watch it closely and put the order in when it gets to your price.
