#1014 RE: F6 #1009

F6...is this a case of "plausible deniability"? Where have we heard that before?...

"Halliburton Co. was involved in the payment of $180 million in possible kickbacks...during a period in the late 1990’s when Vice President Dick Cheney was chairman of the company,... There is no evidence that Cheney was aware of the payments in question..."

$180 Million? And Cheney doesn't know? Maybe he don't wanna know, huh? This is Mr Detail, Mr Impeccable, Mr Got it Under Control...and he claims he doesn't know about this "little" $180M. I hope Newsweek and others in the media stay on this Halliburton story, only because we need to put a stop to it. I figure Cheney is gone anyway, he is a liability to Bush, and his health is in question. I would rather he wasn't around there pulling the strings anyway.

But the point is, we should not be putting our young men and women in harms way just so some multi-national corporation can make illegal profits. The hard work and sacrifice (often ultimate sacrifice) of our young Americans in the Armed Forces and the goodwill that they earn by their exemplary behaviour and dedication to duty in foriegn countries should not be soiled and ruined by a bunch of crooked, hobknobbin' cowards in business and politics.

Shame, Shame as easymoney would say!
