I understand AMD needs to recoup some of those defective die. I fully expected they would do so with dual core reclaim where the recovered product could blend in with existing dual core products and not draw so much attention. The tri-cores will clearly be associated with defective die. That's the PR problem as I see it. Right now the press is gushing as though AMD did something brilliant. Eventually they'll figure it out and it may not sound so brilliant when people realize they're buying broken parts.
