They do it until the call is made and then all of a sudden you have representation or they immdiately jump in front of you and claim stock ahead. It's nonsense, but all part of the game. It's been going on for years.
Several times I have put in the highest bid which usually shows up within a few seconds, yet I may only get a partial fill even though a lot more shares are sold at my bid price. I have also seen the reverse on the ask side. MM bastards.
