Would outsourcing telemarketing to India be a ploy to circumvent the US Federal DNC statute? Will US laws be applicable to a business based in India?
Or IF Verisign is going to implement TeleBlock in India, then how will that work? My understanding is that the DNC database is supplied by the US Gov. So every TM call that originates in India will require a database lookup from the other side of the planet?
The article that you linked to says:
"The IDC is helping the company to create more releases in shorter spans of time and is developing solutions for telecommunications, internet and management information systems"
TO ME that strongly suggests that Verisign MIGHT be participating in the development of a REPLACEMENT for TeleBlock.
I don't know these things for sure, that's why I'm asking.
