Yep, that's why I kept seeing those .0105 trades go by but not getting fills... they were selling shares among themsleves for .0105 then they were probably keeping all of the .0105's that were sold by retail, and most of the .011's too. Then when the ask was hit at .012, they were selling their shares and putting .001 in their pocket.. each 50,000 share trade the market maker does this, he puts $50 in his pocket... Now look at all the trades... Not a bad way for the market makers to make a living... no?
