The republican party was hijacked by neoconservative, think tank elists. The party of Goldwater is no more. "Liberals," in opposition to the expansion of gov power, are sounding more "conservative" than so-called conservatives. Republicans were formerly the party of limited gov and individual autonomy. No more. Evem Fox and the AEI-istas at Weekly Standard toyed with the term "big government conservative" which is truly a contradiction. CFR calls the shots on foreign policy. The gov has been hijaced by elitists organized into power-house, ultra-influential neocon think tanks. Their goal -- business absent any regulation, an all powerful ruling class, and a redistribution of wealth as well as a "foreign policy" that promotes only their self serving interests. Gradually, they are succeeding... And so goes the "middle class" in this country... If you don't believe me -- follow the money.
Neocon is a very dangerous movement..
