So, what will happen if we leave now? Best scenario: the Iraqis work it out. Worst scenario: they kill each other....something they are glad to do without our help.
In both cases, our troops are no longer dying. The critical issues, imo, is the signing of the Iraqi oil law (We won't leave until we get it) and the strategic position it gives us with Iran. Let's be clear, we will keep at least 80K troops there even if we "pull out". The whole thing is a canard.
