illuminator that is a distinction I think by definition. If you buy the assets of a firm and you hire its CEO to run your company then it is pretty much of a buy out, though perhaps not technically since it leaves a shell.
My confusion was not over that fine line of distinction, merely over the overall set up and the musical chairs.
