I agree completely. Not only should they admit it, but they could even turn it to their advantage. Picture this announcement:

After taking a long, hard look at my ugly old mug in the mirror and comparing it to all these pretty youngsters I'm running against, I've decided to undergo botox treatment. And if my opponents get any younger or prettier I'll probably go in for a face lift as well. Ha-ha-ha!
Kicker Option A: Speaking of age issues, have I mentioned lately how much more experience I have in XYY than my opponents?
Kicker Option B: Speaking of age and experience, I think the seniors of our country really deserve more XYZ from Social Security/etc./etc./etc.
