If you want out of a phone contract (especially Sprint) just wait until they want to change the terms of the contract and say no. I don't care if they want to drop you from 500 free texts a month to 400 and you never used any. If they want a unilateral change in the contract that is less favorable to you than the current contract, just tell them to shove it, you'll be porting your number to another provider and you won't be paying a termination fee. I bet you won't have to wait more than three months for a change in terms if Sprint is your provider. Do expect the CSRs to argue with you, even lie to you, but stand firm.
