I stuck my neck out with former 98L LOL calling for a US landfall out of something that didn't have a surface circ anymore and NO models developed and had almost no convection. THAT's sticking out the neck. And of course I was wrong LOL. F98L BTW is around 12N 37W today (you can still see it, tyring to get an LLC but no convection), unlike the NHC update which says it got absorbed by the wave to the north. It didn't but it is really nothing to look at now. 99L is the game to watch. Although it still has lots of shear to overcome.
Good synopsis on 99L and I agree with what you're calling, a probable hit around Carolinas/Ga or maybe a bit more north with still uncertainty since this has to turn around and head back west. Most of the models call for this. Good luck!
