Although I often agree with Ishmael's posts, this issue is pretty simple.... You either believe in laws as they currently exist or you don't.
It really is not an issue of race or economics, the fact is people entering the country illegally don't belong. It is mostly our fault for not enforcing the borders. A closed border with a proper guest worker system would allow people who want to come here to work the ability to do so. They could also apply for permanent status and eventual citizenship.
I love other cultures and the greatness they bring to this country, as almost all of us were from somewhere else I don't understand why people would be anti immigrant.
Just took a trip down the Columbia River Gorge. Along the banks there are platforms where native Americans only can fish from without regard to the fishing rules applied to everyone else. Wow we ravaged and destroyed most of them, stole the land & country and we threw them a bone (fish bone). We are great.
