I agree with you that this seemed like an extreme measure in proportion to the news. BUT, that is actually a potentially very significant announcement. Just because you are drilling very near a place where others have had success, does not mean that you are guaranteed anything. Just look at the Missippi project (that Boone Pickens was part of). Of course, they seem to think that may yet pay off, but they did not get the results they expected.

So, to get an indication that there is definitely some gas there and even to finish the second well after seeing what the first one had, is at least decent news and may well be outstanding news, depending on the analysis. Then, have you listened to Robert's most recent presentation? I suppose that he could just be a pumper (you always have to consider that possibility) but he sounded almost euphoric in describing DEJ as a once in a generation potential. And, you know that he had to already know that they had indication of good findings at Rio Blanco when he made the presentation, because they halted trading just a few hours later.

We all know that DEJ has information about that well that they have not talked about because, as a public company, there are restrictions as to what they can say, until they meet certain proof criteria. But, would he be making such very postive statements, the same day that they halt trading, if he did not feel pretty good about the results? Possible, but you would have to think that Robert is a real charlatan, if you think that (in which case, I would not be an investor). So, I think that this is probably at least genuinely good news and, of course, there is a possibility that it could be very good news.

Finally, look at it this way. Robert was projecting possible anual revenues of $35-40 mil without Piceance/Uinta, as soon as next March. Just take that times a PE of 15 and you have a stock worth 4X where we are today. If Piceance/Uinta starts producing next year, then where do you think we'd be. So, still need to keep level heads, because we have not really got any production going yet. But, my point is that it is hard to see how anyone gets hurt at these prices and the upside potential makes it fun to own - with a lot of news coming in the next 3-6 months.
