Keep a couple things in mind:

1. The media tends to quote things out of context. You have no idea what prompted Grove to say it. Snide is only your interpretation.

2. Andy Grove is a well respected self-made man who endured profound hardships to get to where he is today. Being a sore winner is not in his character.
