amd's problem with doing this is that two of the cores would be handicapped compared to the two on the imc die.

given amd's marketing approach of "true" dual core they could hardly do a paste up and get away with it.

intels cores all have equal access to the bus with whatever that brings for performance. no need to backtrack on some hollow marketing promises.

if you have trouble understanding this further, do you'll have to figure it out for yourself.

the fact that amd chose not to do it speaks for itself.

get over it.
