Why shouldn't Intel convert everything over to Prescott ASAP? The chip is no more than 5% slower and 30% cheaper to make.

Maybe the price cuts partially reflect the fact that OEMs will have to spend a lot of money retooling for the new BTX form factor, LGA 775 sockets and specs.
