#824 RE: amarksp #823

amarksp.... This is a market dominated by POT and Russian suppliers. Google "Potash supplies" and you should get some hits that talk about how the industry is dominated by huge players. But the defining reason to look hard at potash is the fundamentals behind the demand growth. Developing countries(CHINDIA) need for more food and a worldwide shift towards biofuels. Both trends are large and need higher production with limited to declining arable lands. The only way to satisfy both trends is more fertilizer. Potash is a vital component of fertilizer anywhere in the world.

So you have good fundamentals in the fertilizer industry and especially in Potash. The domination by the big players should insure that they will not let prices react too wildly. I'm sure they would love a nice steady uptick in prices while they ramp up volume to satisfy the market.

If you find any hidden values in producers, please let us know! Bobwins
