Hanuman, my take on the account of Walter Mossberg is that the combination of ego and arrogance shut down his brain.
If so many people were clamoring for him to take a look, and he decided to ignore those requests and to hold those people in contempt, what else could it be?
I doubt we could have that situation here.
The perceived problems come about by "ganging up" on one particular reporter or journalist.
Most reporters or journalists do not follow through on requests from individuals because they know that those requests come from people who have a vested interest in whatever it is that they would like to see publicized.
The possible success from such action as everyone contacting people they know to be connected to the media about our company, for instance, far outweighs any negative outcome.
Just think of tens or hundreds of media types being contacted, and just one or two of them decide to follow up on the story.
How do we know that the story about Sepsis, featuring Cytogenix, on the Houston CBS affiliate was not the result of one person's initiative in reaching out to a contact.
Good things happen when you spread the word.
