#73297 RE: quicktrades #73290

Quicktrades posted the following message early this morning that I think revealed something very important and should be taken seriously by all those now using the trial platform.

Below this copy of Quicktrade's post, I'll try to explain what I think his message reveals and why I think this is so important.

[I've bolded parts of his message for emphasis]

I was the computer guy in our family business for a lot of years and we were a long term Beta site for the automotive business management software that we ran. I know all about bugs and having new features implemented. Programmers are a very smart crowd and work through issues quickly and the only way to get it right is to get as much feedback from users as possible. Always give as much information about an issue as you can so they can narrow down the fix quickly.

IMO, the company has in essence, and I think very cleverly, brought it's trial subscribers in early to function as the beta testers rather than hiring (for cash and/or shares)a team of testers behind the scenes to work out the bugs before releasing the platform.

I think this was a clever move for a couple of reasons...

FIRST... rather than PAYING some group to do the beta test, they've actually given their potential customers a valuable chance to BE PART OF THE BETA TESTING TEAM.
.........Not only does this save them money/dilution, it's actually generated a small amount of cash/revs for them.

SECOND...I think this method of letting the PUBLIC assist in the beta testing will actually get them a much wider set of opinions/suggestions from which to choose their eventual final versions of each of the options they're going to offer.

So, in reality, this can be viewed as a unique opportunity for the early comers to help design and shape what the finalized product will offer and how it'll be presented visually and functionally.

It also emphasizes the importance of CLARITY when making suggestions and/or reporting problems that you come across to the programmers that are working to finalize the platform.

Not only will CLARITY help to speed up the process that we're all anxious to see, but your suggestions will be more likely to get incorporated into the final version.
