To expand on "not a question of if, but when" -- before that he mentioned a timeframe of 2 to 3 years when PCs, not workstations, would "need" more than 32 bits. He also mentioned Intel's name for their 36-bit extended addressing (?????), but I think just to say "we can do >32 bits too, for the applications (servers) that require it."
