My point was not whether or not the feature should have been included from the start but whether or not it was a surprise. Your comment, which I pasted to the top of my reply, implied that Gateway was blind sided by the issue and would think twice before using e.Digital in the future.
I don't believe it was a surprise nor do I believe it has any impact on how Gateway feels about e.Digital.
Fwiw, my daughter has returned her O1K for credit and is contemplating a Gateway instead. I discussed the playlist issue with her and she wasn't sure that was a big deal. Her comment was that she rarely listens to an entire CD anyway.
