As for M&M caps, you have it basically correct. Except M&Ms buy at the bid before & during a run, not during the cover. They "sell" at the bid, during the cover. (when retail is buying at the ask).

During the 3 month run, M&Ms sell naked, hold until the PPs reaches when they shorted and THEN sell at the bid. During the 9 month walkdown. When retail thinks the bottom turn has come. And retail's mindset is to accumulate, all the M&Ms short.

As for what next, I'm not sure. Rarely follow after the 9 month walk down starts. & rarely see the naked short cover, because I'm not watching the tic by tic.

That's why I was so happy to see the question post explaining the short cover example.

But I would expect buy the time a year is past from the last
PR HYPE play, insiders would be ready for one of two things.

They would either try it again with a new group of retail and new PR story. Or be looking to sell the shell and have the next scam artist have their turn at it. The third option would be M&Ms trying to turn it into a channel rev's stream, If it gets to micro penny. While the insider looks for a shell buyer.

It's a process. Second attempt at the game again themselves, shell flipping, or a M&M shell channeling .
