OT <<why people think it’s desirable to have a big house on a lot so small that 100% of the trees have to be cut down to make room for the house>>
Having fought tree loss in my neighborhood of Atlanta (formerly the city in a forest), one reason is that they don't like mucky leaves falling on the late-model BMWs standing in the driveway or into the swimming pool. Air, shade, beauty, birds and runoff be damned. The only thing that can save my part of town from being overrun by these mansions is a serious slump!
