It would be very interesting to see Matt or Bob buy SI. If there are others in the market, I would hope they would be people as sensitive to the SI culture as Bob is. Too bad the Dryers can't take it back over. Or maybe they could??
I think the beginning of the END for SI was when they chose to apply their TOU discriminately. Anyone with opposing viewpoints were penalized, while those in the so-called "In-crowd" were given considerable slack to do as they please. This blatant display of favoritism simply added fuel to the fire.
Jeff's warm personality also didn't help. He's got the personality of a lonely slug in heat. He's got the wisdom of inbreeding trailer trash genealogy.
