Excuse me the thurst of the complaint was that Intel artificially lowered prices to keep out a competitor, Intel mobile ASPs are highier because consumers are willing to pay a premium for most of thier mobile parts, that's never been the case with most AMD's mobile parts. The way the complaint is structured if Intel proves they made a profit on every sale then the EU and AMD are screwed.

You've certainly fallen into that same trap that the AMD attorneys have gotten into. The allegations of the complaint are for a period 3 or 4 years ago. The problem then was that Intel was giving out discounts and ad subsidies and AMD was GAINING market share. Now they have stopped that, they are charging MORE than AMD and AMD is LOSING market share.

Whatsa fella gwine due? :))

Re: Intel's mobile prices are well above AMD's so how is the consumer benefitting from lower prices by having all the OEMs produce only Intel laptops ?

Only the parts that are better than AMD's are priced above AMD's. The parts that are not better than AMD's are priced at or below AMD's. It just so happens that the average selling price is nearly 2x the ASP of AMD's mobile product line, but that should be of no surprise to anyone familiar with the superiority of Intel's mobile products. There's nothing illegal about charging what a product is worth.
