I guess you could also assert "You get what you paid for".
The fact is that Transmeta has successfully and to their credit gallantly survived the worst economy with just a single prototype disguised as a product (CRUSOE). Now they have successfully snuck in the actual product (EFFICEON) and by all indications it simply kicks ass. In addition, because of a very successful secondary offering they have more than plenty of cash ($$), and they have a significant bonus offering of the solution to a complex problem (LR2) that to this day others still cannot solve (and may not ever – hence the nasty delays?).
I think that it is pretty safe to assert that Transmeta will at the very least thrive like a wild fire on a dry mountain with a severe uphill gusty wind.
