Hi Sharon,

Thanks for stopping by. I'm not sure Obama is pandering, these guys (both parties) seem to sincerely believe whatever is to their political advantage. Truly honest politicians with firm convictions tend to become former politicians.

OT Hi SharronB

Would you rather someone be dogmatic and say now that we are there we have to stay there till we are finished?

By the way, when did WWII end????
We still have troops in Germany, Japan etc

Probably the only place we don't have troops is Vietnam!

So I don't expect we will pull our troops out any time soon unless we "lose".

Just a thought:

What if instead of invading Iraq we gave the same amount of money to the same companies (GE, Boing, Haliburton, etc) and told them to build solar panels and windmills instead?????

Lets see:

Less oil imports.
Better balance of payments situation.
Less dependance on other countries for energy.
New source of real jobs in this country.
Less dead and injured americans AND Iraq citizens
The flexibility to deal with Iran.

Personally I would have a hard time choosing between Oboma and Bloomburg but Bloomburg said he is not running. You will probably hold it against him if he changes his mind. >>grin<<

Less Bushes, more trees!

A great example of how politicians are like puppets, saying what they think is right, or feel is right only to have thier strings jerked around by those that stand above them and pull

its money, its political positioning, its all about getting 1 up on the other side and its ALL about control

you NEVER hear of a politician creating a situation that weakens THIER situation, only OURS.....
