Interactive brokers will not allow any buying only closing postions. They say it is due to physical certs and IB's inability to hold them. Its been that way for a long time.
Your question is important, not sure if Keith and company are doing anything about it, the physical cert problem has been there for a long time.
Makes it harder to get buying pressure if potential investors have to change brokers to do so. I don't remember how much of this problem existed during our winter run?
I know some might say it is the NSS, but who really knows? But its not a good thing.
All I know for sure is being in penny stocks for the last months, especially O&G companies has been well, pretty dog gone awful!
