Why?

Unless there was a specially set of ratified standards for Wireless Voice tha were going to be embedded it would simply be a path across the network using IP.

Theoretically any WLAN AP could be used for FMC. The problem is that the config (802.11 stack on your phone) would have to know how to either associate with it, have the encryption keys/passphrase, 802.1x supplicants, or other.

Once connected and having an IP address you could theoretically tunnel the voice through their network to a Session Controller.

But this engineering as I said in the other post is not likely in a Consumer model. You don't expect a $100 Linksys to provide these capabilites. However when you are paying @ $1000 per AP and Controller port in the Enterprise this is a different story.

Enterprise networks would be setup and installed to support activity like FMC using Quality of Service and prioritization for the voice calls.
