A ticket for driving alone in an HOV lane did more than send Candace Dickinson to court. The citation also ignited the debate about when a life begins.
Dickinson walked into Phoenix Municipal Court on Tuesday hoping to beat the ticket she received when pregnant in November, saying that her then-unborn baby was the second passenger in the car.
She walked out with a court defeat, and the $360 fine. advertisement
