Let's get specific and go back to the example that prompted the use of the term "nigger!"
Ok, about Katrina and the horrific "mistake," FEMA made and the some of the fallout flood! First off, it will take history to reveal reasons for the less than rapid response that our resources are capable of. Now, don't go thinking i'm hinting at some big conspiracy theory! No Cons here. Let's just stick some basic points.
One of the women featured in the clip, lived in a very nice upscale housing projects. It is upscale because of its' location to the French Quarters in the Big Easy. (talk about big easy, doesn't get much easier than this)!
This particular housing project was evacuated, in time, just as the rest of the city was. This housing project was untouched by the floods, so that wasn't even an issue. How long has it been since Katrina? Two years this Aug! Residents who lived in this housing project have tried to come back. They're not allowed in, well, they can't get in for one thing - their apartments are sealed shut.
The local government apparently plans to reclaim the land because of its' value - location, location, location!
No big deal-this stuff happens. It happens much easier under this administration because they are above any law ever created!
So, for me to focus on the poor, and "entitled," (razor's word) is actually working for the establishment actually cause, as it is with human nature, until death touches you, it seems like you're immortal. Anyway The Offices of Innovative Emergency Management were paid half a million dollars to create evacuation plans. No plans exist nor were never initiated. When confronted as to why, the fellow interviewed on tape, states he was threatened...well....you do your own research if you care to.
But, it's really nothing we are concerned about any longer, we're desensitized to most bad news by now!
History may reveal or may not reveal all the circumstances surrounding the pathetically, slow response and all the fallout problems. But, we don't have to rely on history to know who "MADE OUT," from the fall out.
