#1404 RE: stocktiger #1403

Tiger,

As I understand it, the hydrogen gas is produced as a byproduct of electrolysis, that is powered by electricity from the power grid. I'm having a problem understanding how this could be applied to "power a mid-sized vehicle". I may be wrong, but I got the impression that the hydrogen gas is produced on an as needed basis -- not stored at high pressures to liquify it. This would account for the low cost.

For mobile applications, this could not be the case -- can't plug it into the wall to produce H2 as needed. You would have to produce ahead of time, thereby leading to all the problems associated with existing technologies of h2 powered vehicles -- High pressure tanks, etc. Maybe they use batteries to power the electrolysis?????? I doubt it.

What have you heard, Tiger?
