NDT, and if seeps are not a good sign, then I'll eat my hat. Yes, there are seeps in the waters and even on the archipelago.
Did you ever see the photograph in Time Magizine about the children running around on a beach in Angola with empty tin cans filled with oil ?? Their game was throwing the oil on each other. The oil came from a little hole in the sand at the water's breakline.
The whole Gulf of Guinea parking lot is one big oil slick.
