the consensus I got was that nobody 'in the know' had high hopes about availability or performance from the quadcores, at least for this year. This obviously means that AMD was much more realistic to them than they were in the press.
Maybe , maybe not.
If you can't even get samples or the ones you get barely work, it wouldn't be all that hard to figure it out. Those OEMs aren't dumb. People here figured it out a long time ago and we weren't even talking to AMD.
BTW, what happened to aceshardware?
